First freshening three year old...worth the wait. The udder photo is showing about 10 hours of milk. We'll get better pix when her milk comes in real good and the heavy colostrum is out. Meantime, you can see the correct teat placement, the nice medial, and the overall nice shape to her udder.

I hate milkstand pictures, but with no handlers around, I do what I can. The shadows in the barn really don't help though...you can't see it, but this doe has a super high rear udder...in fact, the appraiser mentioned she had the highest rear udder in the herd. I'm not real fond of her teats, but she milks like a dream! Like her dam, Fantasia is steep rumped...but I think there are enough good qualities about this doe, that I'll keep her at least one more freshening to see how she shapes up.

I like this kid. I like this kid a lot. So far she's better conformationally than her dam which was exactly the point of this particular cross. Now hopefully she'll have as lovely a mammary system as her dam with increased teat size. Maintain the capacity that her dam exhibits, and I'll be VERY pleased!

This kid is so pretty and strikingly colored. Take a plain old black and tan buckskin and add large black polka dots to her rear half and you get the idea of this kids coloring. It's quite stunning. I admit, I kept this doe over her sister quite simply because I thought she was cool looking. Let's hope my silly gesture pays off! Those black spots turned out to be moon spots...so she's even more cool looking!

Another one of our outcross kids. Our general appearance seems to have held strong in our crosses which makes me very happy indeed. Add in a striking color pattern and you have gilded the lily.  Now, if I can pull that gorgeous mammary system that Show Tunes sports into the mix I'll have succeeded in this particular venture. Raising the bar...isn't that what it's all about?!

Again, I hate milkstand pictures...they can really be deceiving. Rockette has a beautiful udder, but I can't seem to get a good angle on it, but that's a problem with the gold goats anyway. At any rate, I milk this doe every day, and I love her! She milks out completely and easily. She'll remain with us for the long haul.

Here's a favorite first freshener...very very correct mammary system, very correct body! We waited a long time for Mocha to give us a doe and let me tell you, Cafe was certainly worth the wait! Can't wait to see how she matures into a senior.

I like this doe...I like this doe a lot. She's got conformation and general appearance to spare. She could use a tad more height to her rear udder, but her capacity more than makes up for what she lacks in rear udder height. Jazz is going to stick around for a while.

I waited a long time for a buckskin doe from Kitty that I thought was as nice as the original Lucille. This young lady hit the ground and it took me weeks to give her her name...I finally did after I saw how lovely she was turning out. And then she freshened...oh my! She's gorgeous! I'm anxious to see her in show clip now!
