What can I say, we have thoroughly enjoyed owning Kitty. She's a beautiful doe and we're thrilled to have her here with us. Kitty handily won her MCH status in tough competition, going on to take the Champion Challenge class by storm! She's an incredible doe, who produces incredible offspring. As many of you know, Kitty is dam to the late beautiful Lucille. I cannot thank Keith and Marie Harrell enough for allowing this beautiful girl to join us. I am overwhelmed. At 12 years old, Kitty is still going strong. She's getting up there in years and it's beginning to show. Kitty developed founder last year, so I've had to remove most of the grain from her diet. In order to keep her weight on, I made the decision to dry her off. It's helped a lot as she's not nearly as tender footed. Kitty didn't take for me last year, but this year it looks as if she's going to give me kids again. I always retain one doe from each kidding. Bred to XM this year...it will be exciting to see what she produces! I've decided to close kid sales on Kitty this year. Everything she gives us from this day forward, we feel is a HUGE blessing to our farm!

This pretty little girl is the identical breeding as our favorite doe... the late PromisedLand LD Lucille. Lucky is a sweet little 19 inch tall chamoisee doe. More importantly though, she has a beautiful udder! It's beautiful like Lucille's, being incredibly high, wide and socked on, though she could use a little longer teats! We continue to see that gorgeous mammary system on our girl as she is now a seventh freshener. Her capacity has increased tremendously over the years and she is now a 4.5 pound producer at her peak. We like even better that she's passing on her beautiful mammary system to her daughters, but not her short stature! Oh yes, she'll milk a full lactation too! We REALLY like that!

And this doe is one of my favorites! Giddy-Up is line bred on some of the best genetics available in the breed today. And my has she come through beautifully! She's absolutely incredible! Giddy-Up along with her dam Mimnet won Dam/Daughter pair at the 2004 NDGA National Show! The lovely Giddy took her grand at our first show of the 2005 season. As you can see by the photo above, Giddy freshened with a lovely socked on mammary system! She earned her *D status on her one day milk test earning her the honor of being a fourth generation milker. Giddy has since finished her championship with AGS and we're now working toward her dual championship with ADGA. She's getting some stiff competition from our younger girls though, so she has to work for it! I bred Giddy to Fire this year, hoping for a lovely doe kid to follow in her footsteps. Keeping fingers crossed!

This is Baby Mocha as we call her. She's been very very slow to mature, but seems to be coming into her own now that she's three. I watch her out in the pen and can't help but notice the maturity she's showing. She's no longer that long legged lanky kid. Hopefully she'll have the quality mammary system we so admired in her dam. ***On her first freshening, Mocha had a lovely high, wide, tightly attached mammary system. Not tons of capacity. Now as a five year old, Mocha is unstoppable! She's grabbing those grands and reserves right and left...sniffing at her competition! And milk! Holy cow! She's milking like a champ! Way to go Moch!*** And now Mocha is a coming 7 year old...still absolutely beautiful, and has produced a couple of stunning daughters. Yeah...she's in her forever home.

My lovely little Remember...certainly one of my favorites. She's a tremendous little milker, with one of our best mammary systems. She's got that nice high, tight, wide mammary we're all striving for, with near perfect teat placement of nice size and shape. Though I consider Rem a brood quality doe, she produces lovely kids! Her daughter Keena waltzed out of our last show with her junior leg on her first trip into the ring. And then after she freshened...I took Keena to the fairs and guess what? She finished! Just like that!

This little doe is out of our farm princess Panacea, and she knows it! Tranquility is proving to be one of the most elegant does we've put on the ground. Tranquility freshened with a socked on udder very much a combination of Panacea's and Lucille's. Quite frankly, that's very exciting to us! I'd like to see longer teats, however she milks easily and milks down to absolutely nothing! Tran has to compete with a lot of my other does, so grabbing those grands has been tough. I cannot count the number of times she's stood in that line-up. One of these days it'll come to her.***And indeed it did. At our most recent show, Tran grabbed two grands, just like that!*** Tranquility is proving her worth not only as a show doe, but a brood doe as well. Dam to Shimmer...who speaks for herself! and and up and comer; Feisty. Whew! Gorgeous!

This is a recent "buy back".... frankly because I think Julie has a lot to offer us here at Dill's. She's got a lot of truly good qualities...one of her best being her teat size and correct placement on the udder halves. She also is showing nice MSL which seems to be hard to find in NDs. She has nice width to her rear udder though I think it could be a tad higher, and I cannot fault her fore. So...we'll see. What I don't like...she's too loose in the shoulders, however, she stands squarely on strong straight feet and legs. I can forgive her her poor shoulders...besides it's an easy fix. Another Full House daughter for me to play with, so I'm happy.

This is Doo Wop...and ain't she pretty? I LOVE Doo Wop! She has that show ring, "look at me" attitude that just stuns the judges. She's not a perfect doe...none of them are...but she's got a heck of a lot going for her, from her long, lean, dairy neck to her lovely flat rump. Then you see that beautiful mammary system! Two things I'd like to change about Woppy, she's a bit posty in her rear legs and she could be a little sharper in the withers. I don't know though...they just don't get much better than this girl. At 20 1/2" inches...she's a pretty darn nice package if you ask me!

From the moment this darling was born, she was "pet" friendly! She's followed us around the farm on feeding rounds since she was big enough to escape her dam. Misstery is absolutely a farm favorite! She's also a very lovely correct little doe with tons of flash! What a piece of eye candy! This is also the doe everyone wants to tuck into their trunk and take home...she's such a pill, one of these days I just might let someone! At her first show Misstery won Best in Show, the judge commented to me that she was the "perfect kid". He just loved her. Way to go Misstery! ***Misstery freshened with a lovely mammary system! Her capacity is also very promising. Hopefully she'll continue to do well for us!***

Blondie is out of our herd favorite, DizzyBlonde. And she's definitely taking after her dam! She has that buttery soft texture to her udder with teats that are a dream to milk! And milk she does! She'll have no problem earning her milking star this year. Conformationaly, Blondie is a very dairy little girl, just what we'd hoped to produce when we did this cross. I'm very pleased with her mammary system...one more freshening and I believe she'll outshine her dam. This line is sloooooooooooowwwwwww to mature, but when they finally do...watch out!

Here's our Kitten. I really really like this doe. As a second freshener we're seeing more capacity certainly, but also greater rear udder height and width and more extension to her fore udder. I think the only thing I can really complain about...her forelegs could be better set beneathe her withers. I don't milk her front legs or shoulders though, so I'm not complaining too loudly. Kitten is a lovely doe all the same!

We're pleased to present another lovely young doe from one of our favorite lines! Her dam Expee was one of the best producers on our farm, and as a third freshener she's blossomed with one of the best mammary systems too. What can I say about Keena except WOW! The result of a total outcross for us, completely uncertain of the outcome, and look what I get....this fantastic young lady that everyone admires, who finishes her first time out as a Senior Doe...as a yearling no less. What I don't like about Keena is she elbows out a bit...what I do like about her is everything else. She's absolutely lovely conformationally...and as far as that mammary system is concerned, it doesn't get much better. She's milking up a storm as well. She earned her milk star in protein & butterfat...missed that production star by one measly pound. ARGH! Should have paid closer attention! At any rate...Keena isn't going anywhere...she'll do it again.

Finally, some good pictures of Fantasia...thanks Jonathon! You rock! This doe has a super high rear udder...in fact, the appraiser mentioned she had the highest rear udder in the herd. I'm not real fond of her teats, but she milks like a dream! Like her dam, Fantasia is steep rumped...but I think there are enough good qualities about this doe, that I'll keep her at least one more freshening to see how she shapes up.

I cannot even begin to tell you how pleased I am with Hocus this year. She freshened with twice the capacity she had last year, her udder continues to be butter soft and milks down to NOTHING! She's an outstanding doe, one I'm very pleased to have on my farm!

This doe is so pretty and strikingly colored. Take a plain old black and tan buckskin and add large black polka dots to her rear half and you get the idea of her coloring. It's quite stunning. I admit, I kept this doe over her sister quite simply because I thought she was cool looking. Let's hope my silly gesture pays off! Those black spots turned out to be moon spots...so she's even more cool looking! She freshened with a lovely high, tight rear udder. Not the greatest capacity in the universe, but acceptable. Now that Tumble Bug has a couple of freshenings on her, we're finding that she's really a butterfat doe. She's had tests with 12.8% fat! So, though she's not a production doe...she sure helps in the cheese department!

When Jonathon saw this kid and her littermates...he immediately pointed her out and said..."This one!" She's a lovely little dark chamoisee kid with the traditional black points. Absolutely beautiful! Took her to her first show, she waltzes out with the grand. Yeah, that's what I'm talkin about! Oh, and now Intrigue is fresh...and she's AWESOME!!!

This doe is so striking, she stands out amongst all the others in the group. A faded out buckskin, but COVERED in cool moonspots. And she's a doll! We expect quality from our Bounty Hunter breedings...and this one is no exception.Feisty freshened with a lovely mammary system, just as her bloodlines indicated she would. I'm very pleased with her!

You should have seen Cafe with her dam Mocha in the dam & daughter class this fall. This pair is so fabulous, no one can beat them! They topped a HUGE class of pairs, even going over Tranquility & Shimmer. That's a difficult thing to do. We've always loved her dam...and I'm getting pretty darned attached to Cafe too.

I waited a long time for a buckskin doe from Kitty that I thought was as nice as the original Lucille. This young lady hit the ground and it took me weeks to give her her name...I finally did after I saw how lovely she was turning out. And then she freshened...oh my! Though I haven't a decent picture of her, Lucille took the Best in Show win at the 2010 Tulsa State Fair as a first freshener. Quite a big deal for us! I'm anxious to watch her mature! As you can see, Lucille is now a finished champion, she's milking so nicely, she'll also have her star this year. She's doing everything her namesake was never able to do in her too short lifetime.

I like this doe too...littermate to Pantastic above. She shows almost as much promise as her sister. I'll watch them a while and make up my mind which I like better. At any rate...both stay...they're Panacea's daughters after all. And Pansy is just as lovely as Pantastic...she freshened with a tremendous mammary system with lots of capacity. Anxious to do our first milk test to see how she measures up. :o)

Merry's sister Carousel. I took her to one show, she placed second behind her lovely sister Merry. Even though Merry's gotten all the accolades, I actually like this doe better. She looks more like our herd than does her sister, so neither are leaving. Carousel is beginning to put her udder on, and boy oh boy am I happy I hung on to her! :o) Now that she's a fresh yearling, she's placed first in 15 of 16 rings. She's such an elegant girl, she easily moves to the top of her class!
