This incredible lady is Great Expectaions, known as "California" to all who've shown with her and against her. California is one of the most beautiful ladies I've ever seen. And at 8 years old is still holding onto that gorgeous mammary system! Roger and Janice Shrum purchased her as a kid and campaigned her for several years. California easily finished her CH title and went on to win 9 times Best of Breed and 12 x Best in Show. She's certainly made her mark on the Nubian breed! We're pleased to have brought her to our farm to love! California's dam Kastdemur's CPE No Excuses 4*M can be seen on the Kastdemur website. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of this grand old lady. We've only had California for the past two years, during that time she made her way into our hearts. The Shrums knew her in her glory days, we knew her as a sweet, genteel old girl who was quiet on the milk stand and always ready for a hug and perhaps a cookie from your pocket. She is well represented in our herd through her daughters, grand daughters, nieces and nephews. When I went to say goodnight to everyone she was lying under the hay rack, quietly munching hay. I gave her a hug, said good night, and she never woke up. We found her the next day, still curled up in a ball. There was no suffering which is as it should be.

This lady is quite possibly the most beautiful doe I have ever seen in my life! Tiffany is long, tall, and incredibly elegant. And she MILKS! Big time! I just love her classic good looks. Tiffany was 1st place 4 year old with 1st udder at the ADGA National Show in 2004. She's been Best in Show three times and Best of Breed four times. Now that I've owned Tiffany for a while I've got a newfound respect for this grand girl. Not only does she milk, she's one of the most gentle and docile milkers on the stand...though if she thinks I'm picking on "her goats" she'll butt me in the rear! We've had our herd queen discussion and I believe she finally realizes that she's only the boss of the goats...not me. LOL Yes, Tiffany is lovely and she remains lovely even while putting that milk into the bucket!

This lovely lady is Example. A beautiful example of the Nubian breed! Example is a daughter of CH Kastdemur's Great Expectations, a true legacy of her gorgeous dam. I love this doe's style and correctness. She's long, wide, deep, and carrying one of the most beautiful and capacious mammary systems in the herd. Can't wait to see some of her daughters mature! At our first show of 2007, as a 6 year old 6th freshener, the lovely Example won Grand Champion in both rings and Best Doe in Show in Both Rings. We couldn't be more pleased! Example, like California is one of our harder keepers. She works hard to put milk in that bucket and during the hot summer months it shows in her overall appearance. Once the heat wears off, she's very good about getting that weight back on. We love her!

This is Extatic. About the only thing I can say about her is, she's breath taking! Extatic is right up there with the lovely Tiffany, and perhaps she's even better. It's hard to say at this point. I look at this gorgeous doe and just smile because I can't believe she's actually standing here on my farm. Extatic is the 2004 AGS National Champion Nubian Doe. She earned that title in some of the greatest competition I've ever seen. In fact, her age class was huge, with lovely does from top to bottom. I was privaledged to be there to watch that class judged. And Extatic certainly deserved her National Champion title!

Since having Extatic here on our farm for 16 months now she's proving herself to be one heck of a doe! Due to severe weather, three moves, and tons of mud our girl miscarried her triplets this past year. However, she put her milk in the bucket and maintained a full lactation in spite of it all. Another doe who's cooperative and docile on the milk stand, with an incredible will to please. Truly a herd champion, not just a show champion!

Beautiful Melody Rose. Another gorgeous Wildcat daughter. Melody Rose is yet another upstanding, elegant Easy-Stream doe. From her lovely swan like neck, to her long, level topline, it's difficult to find fault with her.

Melody Rose has had a difficult year with us. In 2007, she had a horrible accident on the ice when she was about 5 weeks out from freshening. She went down and stayed down for 6 weeks. We locked her in a cozy stall in the barn and cared for her as best we could. We had to induce labor when it was time, then had to go spelunking for all FIVE of her kids! Only two survived. We were then able to construct a sling for Melody Rose to get her back on her feet. Imagine our delight the day we opened her stall door and she took those first tentative steps outside to sunbathe! Today we look out at our doe herd and Melody Rose is out there just as healthy and strong as you please! Melody Rose...You go girl!

Meet Lebeau. Isn't she beautiful? Lebeau has the best topline blending into her rump that I have ever seen on a Nubian. She's tremendous! The dairy character that she's exhibiting is just incredible. And look at that length of body!!! This doe has CLASS! As Lebeau matures she's showing tremendous depth of body. She's just a wonderful specimine of the Nubian breed.

This young lady is the result of two of our early Easy-Stream purchases. Little did we know then that the Easy-Stream herd would join us a couple of years later. Named after her granddam, we call her "Baby Tiffany" since the lovely elder Tiffany is standing here as well. This doe is so pretty. We hope she'll freshen as beautifully as her namesake!
